Dominating Google and the Search engines just got a whole lot easier with the creation of the Google Video Sitemap WordPress Plugin. I personally had this developed and is a killer wp plugin..a must have really!

This is just a TINY part of my Dominating Google strategies, as on June 15th, 2010, I am coming out with all my bag of tricks and goodies. But for now…this is what the Google Video Sitemap (GVS) can do for you:

WATCH THE PROOF OF WHAT GVS CAN DO

Get the Flash Player to see this content.

–>> Official Google Video Sitemap Site

Instantly get your flash videos indexed and in the SERPs

  • Grab a Double Listing by simply adding a flash video to your site
  • No longer lose traffic to Youtube, and the risk of web traffic NOT clicking on your link in their description box. Now, the traffic comes right to your site.
  • Ability to add 3rd party pages that are on your domain, but not on your blog
  • Ability to exclude pages with video that you do not want indexed
  • Put YOUR thumbnail video image, and YOUR domain in Google’s search engine result pages.
  • And much, much, more…

I get a lot of questions, like, “if I buy your plugin, will my Youtube embedded videos on my blog using your sitemap help me get to the top of Google’s rankings with my Youtube video?” The answer is NO. Youtube or any other video sharing site videos, are not indexed by this plugin. Youtube videos are indexed by Youtube and Youtube’s video sitemap. That is why in the SERPS your video goes to the Youtube domain, not your domain.

The plugin searches for flash video extensions on your blog to index, specifically flv, avi, mp4, and wmp extensions. The flash videos can be hosted on your domain, or a 3rd party like amazon s3, but the has to have a flash extension file name.

Here is a SEO tip for this plugin. Put your video file name as a keyword you are going after. Thus, if your keyword is ‘dog training’, then have your video file named ‘dogtraining.mp4.’
