Avoid These 9 BLACK HAT SEO Tricks
Filed Under Web Traffic Secrets | 3 Comments
The Google Law?”
When it comes to getting a website up and attempting to get first page ranking on Google and the other two main search engines (MSN and Yahoo) for specific keywords you are targeting, it is best to keep your SEO tactics completely white hat. Many newbie marketers, and experienced, think they can out-smart Google with their Black Hat tactics and underground ninja tricks. However, what I have discovered is that the SEO Black Hatters may get top Google ranking for a short period of time, but not long. White hatters always win in the long haul, and they stay on top.
First of all, if Google suspects your using any of these strategies below, they will either (1) penalize you and your website will be pushed far down in the search engine rankings, or, (2) your domain may be completely abandoned by Google. Secondly, if you do get penalized or banned by Google, it will have serious consequences on your business, and you will have waisted time and money. Google’s Guidelines tells us exactly what they are looking for , and what they are not, in order for your site to be ranked high.
Avoid these 9 Black Hat SEO Tricks:
1. Google Bombing
Google Bombing is where you have your main website that you want to rank high for. So, you go out and set up numerous other mini-sites that link to your main website, and the set up of these mini-sites is done for only one purpose, namely, link building. In other words, your main website goes from having zero links to thousands of links pointing to it in a matter of days, or a couple weeks. This is unnatural, and Google will see this and either penalize you or have you banned.
2. Duplicate Site
This is where you take an existing website (yours or someone elses by copying their source code) and simply make little changes to it. For example, you modify the title tags, the meta tags, and you modify a little bit of the content simply to position it for a different set of keywords. You then re-submit this duplicate site to Google for your duplicate site to be indexed for these keywords. But, essentially, this is a duplicate site with a few minor modifications.
The danger here is that Google now has software that is able to match sites, and if Google see’s that your site is a duplicate site, your site will be banned. One other note of caution. Copying the source code off of someone else’s site is against best business practices.
3. Cloaking
Cloaking is simply displaying one website to visitors and other one to Google’s spiders. The most common way to do this is using the “iframe” redirect code. Many affiliate marketers do this. Thus, your website visitor will see an affiliate website, or what have you, but Google will see only your website, not the affiliate site. Again, Google does not like this, and you will be penalized.
4. Hidden Text
Have you ever visited a website and as you scroll down to the bottom there is a bunch of empty white space? However, it is not empty. If you highlight this section with your mouse, you’ll see that it is “white” text written on a white background. Or, simply look at the source code to view this section. Most often, Black Hat SEO marketers think they can do this and Google will not see it. That is completely an illusion. The human eye cannot see it, but Google’s spiders do. Usually, if you look at the hidden text, it will be full of keywords. Google does not like this, and your site will be penalized.
5. Doorway Pages
Doorway pages is having a website optimized for one set of keywords and it then redirects all of its traffic to another website once it is indexed. Again, Google does not like this very much, and you will be penalized.
6. Automated Submission/Link Building Software
Anything that is auto-generated and not natural is usually Black Hat. Google’s Guidelines says that it does not like automated submission software. What Google wants is real relevant links and not links that are generated automatically. It is strange how there are a lot of people selling automated submission software, even though Google says that they will penalize you for using it.
7. Keyword Stuffing
Keyword stuffing is where you load your meta-tags up with a ton of keywords. Again, do not over do it. Simply use 4-6 keywords in the meta-tag.
8. Link Farming
Link Farming is when you go out and get thousands of websites and links pointing back to your main website that are all generated automatically. Link Building Software does this. Google does not see this as a valid link and they will penalize or ban your domain.
9. Paid Links
There are many people who approach a high ranking website owner and pay them a monthly fee to have their link placed on their site, thinking that it will build the popularity of their own site. However, if Google finds out this is a paid link, you will be penalized.
I highly recommend that you read Google’s Guidelines in what they like and dislike for best SEO practices. Simply give to Google what they want, and you will naturally have top ranking and with longevity.

SEO Press Formula Review

Press For Online Profits
by Brian Johnson
I first met Brian Johnson, author of SEO Press Formula, in the “Players With Money” forum put together by Alex Goad. We both became very active in this forum and often bounced ideas off of each other, while at the same time competing with one another in the internet marketing niche.
Brian is a student and master of three things: SEO, Wordpress, and Niche Marketing. For example, Brian has a couple of websites on Halloween and recently put some serious coin in his pocket. I wonder what the Christmas opportunity holds for online marketers? With the price of gas, and the economy the way it is, I’m sure people will be shopping online more than ever this year.
What will you learn by purchasing SEO Press Formula?
Brian will literally walk you through the entire process, by video presentation, the exact steps that he uses to set up a Monetized Wordpress Niche Blog. In doing so, you will learn how to focus on keywords, and literally dominate the search engines with your blog for those keywords. Hence, Brian starts off with keyword research and niche marketing. Because this is done by video presentation, Brian walks you through a “live” case study of the methods that he uses to do his keyword research. Then, he will show you how to take these keywords to create your SEOPress Formula Blog that will be monetized.
The next part of the course focuses on setting up a Wordpress Blog. He walks you through step by step with video presentation. Additionally, you get 2 SEO enhanced Wordpress Themes, with recommended plugins. This is a nice feature.
As the course advances, you will be taught many advanced strategies: how to get Google to love your blog; how to add content to your blog, what kind of content, the right way to structure your blog for SEO purposes; the right kind of links to add to your blog; monetization, and much, much, more….
I often tell people that SEO Press Formula teaches you how to build a online business with a proper foundation. This is not a get rich scheme. This is the real deal. Brian will teach you how to build a blog that brings in $2 a day in adsense revenue (remember, a domain only costs $8 per year), and in addition, selling affiliate products from eBay, Clickbank, Commission Junction, and others.
Imagine setting up 10 blogs (cost of $80 per year), each making $2 per day in adsense income, plus affiliate commissions. That is $7,280 per year in adsense income, plus affiliate income.
I say all this to recommend SEO Press Formula to my customers. As you know, Blogging to the Bank 3.0 came out this week, and for under $150 in total, you can get your hands on the best 2 courses on blogging and making money online today. If your going to choose only one of these, personally, it is a hard pick. If your a complete newbie, I would go with SEO Press Formula, because Brian gives to you the proper foundation, and you get a ton of training. If your have an existing online business, but your struggling or wanting to learn more skills, I would recommend Blogging To The Bank. But, I would get both, and I have both myself.
